Michael L. Montandon was Broker and co-owner of Providence Commercial, LLC, and Montandon Land & Investments, LLC. Mike’s previous positions in his professional career include, but are not limited to, Vice President of Business Development and Government Affairs at DC Building Group, Managing Partner at Insight Investment Partners where he focused on the San Diego County, Phoenix, and Las Vegas markets for a diverse range of asset classes. Mike was also previously Managing Director for Voit Real Estate Services in the Las Vegas office.

During his 12-year service from 1997 to 2009 as Mayor of North Las Vegas, Mike was the Director of Government Affairs at Core Construction and has over 20 years of experience in management, construction, commercial appraisal and land planning. Prior to his tenure with Core Construction, Mike worked for Nevada Construction Services and was a Senior Appraisal Analyst with Bank of America and an Appraiser with Winius Montandon, Inc. Mike held Certified General Real Estate Appraisal licenses in Arizona and Nevada.

In addition to his professional career, Mike has served on several boards and committees. Formerly, he served on the Board of Directors for Valley Bank of Nevada, the Las Vegas Chapter of NAIOP, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority (LVCVA) and the Nellis Air Force Base Support Team. Mike also served as president of the Board of Directors at Freedom Classical Academy and board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. He currently is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Heber Arizona Water District, and the Board of Directors for HOCRN (Heber Overgaard Community Resource Network) and is currently a Precinct Committeeman on the Navajo County Republican Committee.

Mike completed the Harvard University Program for Senior Executives at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University.

Besides his extensive business career, Mike has a charming and personal side. He enjoys anything outdoors, particularly camping, hunting, and hiking. A discussion of Mike’s family must start with his Dad and Mom. His father Wendell is from a small town in Iowa; his mother Barbara was raised in El Paso, Texas. They met while Wendell was in the army, stationed at Ft. Bliss. They started their married life in Phoenix, AZ in 1962.

Mike was born the first of four children in 1963. His parents still love life together in Phoenix, where his father has run his own business since 1973. Both of Mike’s sisters live in Phoenix with their families, and his younger brother lives in the Philippines. Mike describes one of his personal life goals as “Live to be what my parents see in me…be everything they raised me to be.” He and his wife Antoinette have five children and live in Heber, a charming mountain town in Navajo County, Arizona.
